The ultrasound went great!  Our little baby weighed 11 ounces and is right on schedule on his growth.  We took Jacob with us, and it wasn't until we got to the waiting room that I realized that Jacob thought the baby was arriving that day!  I think he was a little disappointed after I told him no.  The conversation went like this:  Jacob:  Are you having a baby?  Me:   Yes, we have talked about it and I am going to have a baby.  Jacob:  Then I get to see the baby today <excitement>.  Me:  (looking at daddy)  Do you mean are we having the baby today?  Jacob: YES  Me:  I am sorry honey, not today!  It is an ultrasound.  We still have to wait until May!

15 Weeks

<November 10, 2012>

So, it was really cold and windy outside and it had just started to rain when we did this picture take.  The weather was not good the whole weekend so we settled for this funny 15 week picture.  Not our best, but it will work :).

At my 15 week appointment, heartbeat sounded great.  My blood work all came back good too. I can't remember my exact weight, but I am thinking it was around 128 pounds.

13 Weeks

October 27, 2012

Still not feeling the best, but I feel like I am getting better.  Guess this pregnancy isn't going to be the one where the nausea just instantly disappears after 12 weeks.  But, on the plus side, at least I know he or she is growing and is healthy.

This week my belly really popped out!  There is no hiding it now.  I am in maternity clothes now!

Both boys are excited about the baby.  At first, Jacob wanted a baby sister, but he has changed his mind a little.  Last night, he hugged my belly, and said he didn't care if it was a boy or a girl, he just wanted a baby!

Trace keeps telling me to "spit the baby out."  It is going to be a long 6 months!  Haa!

Start of Second Trimester - 12 Weeks

On October 20, 2012, I made it to the second trimester.  I have not been feeling the best so that is why I haven't been posting much.  This pregnancy has been different.  I feel like I have to eat non-stop and foods that bothered me when I was pregnant with Jacob and Trace are actually foods that I crave this time.   When I was pregnant with Jacob and Trace, I hated the smell, taste, and texture of hamburger meat for about the first 15 weeks.  With this pregnancy, I crave tacos!  I would eat tacos every night if I could.  Some might say I am having a girl since this pregnancy is so different, but I am not convinced.  I am still thinking boy.

I am showing a whole lot already!

At my 11 weeks appointment last week, heartbeat sounded great and my weight was 124.5.

8 Weeks

September 27, 2012

Lots of things have happened since my last post.  We are 8 weeks and 5 days today.  Here are a few of the things that have been going on recently:

First OB Appointment
September 18th was my first OB appointment.  Jeremy was supposed to go with me, but he had worked that morning and his truck broke down.  So, at my appointment, I had my first ultrasound and I got to see and hear the baby's heart beat.  The baby had a strong heart beat so I felt very good about everything.  My weight was 124 pounds - let's see how much I gain :).   I met with Dr. Rainwater and we talked for a while and then I had my blood work.  Next appointment is on October 15th.

We Told the Family
This past weekend, we told the family our big news.  It was still pretty early, but I did not want people guessing our news before I got to tell.  So, we decided to shock them early.  I had already told my mom and sister but they were the only ones who knew the big secret.

6 Weeks

On September 7, 2012, I hit my 6 weeks mark.  I have been feeling really good and knew that with Jacob and Trace, I started feeling not so good at 6 weeks.  Like clock work, I started feeling queasy on my 6 weeks mark.  Not too bad, but that nagging sick feeling is hanging around.  As long as I eat 24/7, then I don't feel too bad.  Guess I will be gaining some weight real soon!

I am already starting to show.  I remembered that it took me forever to show with Jacob.  We kept our secret until I was 14 weeks with him.  However, with Trace, my quickly growing belly kept us from keeping that secret very long.  We couldn't even make it until the second trimester like we had hoped.  At 10 weeks, we spilled the beans with Trace, and a few had already guessed it!  I believe that this pregnancy will even have a faster announcement. It is already showing!  I am hoping to be able to keep our secret until my first OB appointment which is on September 18th.

I hope my little one is healthy and is growing like he or she should be.  Right now, the baby is the size of a blueberry.

4 Weeks

We found out the big news on August 24, 2012.  After seeing the positive test that morning and knowing that this would be my last time to have a moment like this, I decided to make it special for Jeremy.  I waited to tell him the big news and went off to work!

That afternoon, I put a few goodies into a gift bag along with the pregnancy test and a note.

When he opened the bag, I could see the excitement and surprise in his face.  I am glad that I will always have that moment!

We both decided to wait until we knew that the pregnancy was going okay before we shared our news with anyone else.   We will tell the boys after our first doctor's visit and after we hear the heartbeat!

On to our new journey in our precious and exciting life - and then there were five!
