Baby Comparisons at 39 Weeks
Thought it would be neat to compare my past pregnancies with this one. All three photos were taken at 39 weeks :). In my last two photos I was wearing the same shirt so it is easier to compare. Obviously I was the smallest with Jacob, but Jeremy and I had to look at my belly for a while with Trace and Baby #3. I definitely was carrying Trace higher, but we think I am the biggest with this pregnancy.

39 Weeks
<4-27-13>
Had my last doctor's appointment this week. My induction date is still set for May 2 unless I go sooner. Dr. Rainwater checked me and said I was a three. She doesn't think it will take long once I go into labor. I hope she is right!
How far along? 39 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: Gained a total of 41 pounds. Weighed 165 at this week's OB appt.
Maternity clothes? Yes - Getting so big in the belly that some of my maternity clothes don't even fit.
Stretch marks? No
Sleep: Wake up a lot through the night to go to the bathroom.
Best moment this week: All the kicks, punches, whole body movement, and hiccups. I am trying to cherish each one since I know that this is about all over. I placed a cup on my belly and the boys along with daddy got to watch the baby punch the cup. It was so cute!
Miss Anything? Being active with the boys and walking fast!
Movement: Always
Food cravings: Mini Wheats and love to drink cold water
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope
Have you started to show yet: Big Time
Gender: Won't know until he or she gets here.
Labor Signs: Starting to go into early labor - lots of contractions and pressure. Dilated to a three.
Belly Button in or out? I'm not even sure if I have one anymore!

Looking forward to: Holding my precious baby and beginning to show my love to another sweet child!

No More Bending Over
So bending over or being able to pull my leg up onto my lap is no longer an option. Luckily, my sweet husband has been helping me with my nails, etc. The other night I was having him take off my nail polish, and he was such a good sport, until he realized I was snapping pictures of him!

38 Weeks
<4-20-13>
Set our day to be induced at this doctor's appointment. We will have the baby on May 2 if not sooner. When Dr. Rainwater checked me I was only dilated about 1.5. This baby is stubborn just like its brothers! My babies like their cozy homes and aren't ready to come out on their own!
How far along? 38 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: Gained a total of 40 pounds. Weighed 164 again at this week's OB appt.
Maternity clothes? Yes - Getting so big in the belly that some of my maternity clothes don't even fit.
Stretch marks? No
Sleep: Wake up a lot through the night to go to the bathroom.
Best moment this week: Hearing the boys tell me that they love my belly. One morning before Jacob left for school, he hugged my belly, gave it a kiss, and said "I love your belly!" One afternoon, Trace got in my lap and placed his head right on my belly, he quietly told me that he loved my belly.

37 Weeks

How far along? 37 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: Gained a total of 40 pounds. Weighed 164 at this week's OB appt.
Maternity clothes? Yes - Getting so big in the belly that some of my maternity clothes don't even fit.
Stretch marks? No
Sleep: Wake up a lot through the night to get comfortable or go to the bathroom.
Best moment this week: Trace once again asked me when I was going to "spit" this baby out! It makes me laugh every time I hear him say that. Jacob is getting super excited - you can see the excitement in his eyes when he asks how much longer until the baby gets here. He will hug my belly and tell the baby to come out! - Also, this week when I took Trace to school, one of his classmates loudly told him that "his momma was fat." I think the teacher was embarrased. It was cute!

Baby Shower
<April 7, 2013>
My sweet sister gave me a baby shower on April 7, 2013. I loved the decorations, the food, the games, and the "Wish Tree." We played two games - "Guess my belly size" and "Price is Right - Guess the dollar amount of the baby items."
A big thank you to Danielle and all her helpers - Jane Ann, my mom, Aunt Rita, Sarah, and Emily Grace. My friend, Ashley, took all the pictures too! We had a great turn out at the shower. Baby Grist will have all shower attendees and their gifts listed in his or her baby book. The "Wish Tree" wishes will be in the baby book as well.
Feeling beyond blessed on having so many friends and family at the shower. We are so very lucky to be loved by so many people. Baby #3 will soon know what it's like to have such great family and friends.

Work Baby Shower

My sweet co-workers gave me a baby shower on April 3. We had yummy cake and ice cream. I got a lot of baby gifts and feel so blessed to work with such a great group of people. Even the guys sat in on the shower! We ended up getting a pack of Tommee Tippee 5 oz bottles, a pack of Tommee Tipee 9 oz bottles, a bottle warmer, bath toys, 2 bath towels, a package of wash cloths, and a diaper genie and two refills. They surprised me big time with my huge item of the Chicco infant car seat.
